BOSE Electroforce 3200 This instrument features a 225 N (450 N optional) maximum force. With the versatility of static to 200 Hz frequency response. The table-top configuration is adaptable to a variety of biomedical research and engineered materials test applications, including torsion testing, creep under dynamic loading and special environments (hot/cold chambers).
The BOSE Electroforce 3200 instrument can be used with ARAMIS system for simultaneous mechanical analysis coupled with comprehensive strain/defromation visualization.

Grips for standard Dynamic Mechanical Analysis

These grips were designed specifically for Dynamic Mechanical Analysis. Provided in pairs, these lightweight grips include the following features:
  • 12.5mm (0.50 inch) max. specimen width
  • 450N (100 lb) force capacity
  • 8.4 mm (0.33 inch) max. specimen thickness
  • Clamp design with knurled screw for locking
  • Open face for easy specimen installation and removal
  • Corrosion resistant design
  • Lightweight - 57 gram moving mass
  • Single 10-32 UNF or four 6-32 UNC screw mounting

Titanium T/C Fatigue Grips (for flat specimens)

These tensile-fatigue grips GRP-TC-Ti450N-F are of titanium construction. This allows extended use in biologically friendly solutions, and the low mass allows them grips to be used at higher frequencies. Provided in pairs, these grips include the following features:
  • 25 mm (1.00 inch) max. specimen width
  • 8 mm (0.37 inch) max. specimen thickness
  • Optional rubber faces are available
  • 450 N (100 lbf) force capacity
  • Clamp design with hex drive nuts for locking
  • Open face for easy specimen installation and removal

Platens - 25 mm

Platens for BOSE Electroforce 3200
These platens are used for compression applications. They can be used for dynamic characterization of viscoelastic materials or for testing the durability of various components. Their lightweight titanium construction makes them highly suitable for use with the ElectroForce® 3200 instrument.

Load cells

Load cell for BOSE Electroforce 3200
The two Low Force Cells are tension/compression cells available in the BM3 lab have a welded stainless steel construction designed to minimize the effects of off-axis forces. The structure is modified to provide an optional submersible capability. These cells have 220N (50 lbf.) and 22N (5 lbf.) of force capacity.

Control for the ElectroForce® 3200 instrument is provided by the WinTest® digital control system. WinTest's intuitive design enables the user to quickly setup complex test routines with minimal training.
